Real M.E.N.

I asked my grandmother was she ever afraid of failing? She replied with a look on her face that I never seen her make before and said “NO, why live your life if you don’t want to achieve your goals. Son always AIM for the moon, at least if you fall short, you’ll land amongst the stars. You don’t ever want to be 60 or 70 years old asking yourself what IF I did this or that. DO IT! Don’t let anything or anyone dictate your life. Try it and if you like it then do it, but if you don’t like it, at least you can say you tried. God put you on Earth for a reason and its up to you to figure out what the reason was.” Then she returned the same question to me. I said “Grandmother I really don’t know.” She continued to say “You can do anything you put your mind to son. With God on your side and a loving family that you have, how could you not succeed? I want you to live a life you love, not one that you just like.” I’m always speechless after conversations with my grandmother. Its like she knows what to say to me, to make me want more out of life, and Grandmother I LOVE YOU for that.
