When your heart is broken,
It’s a deep and lingering feeling;
Like your heart is in a thousand pieces,
Each regretful and slow healing.
When you lose the one you Love,
You try hard to get them back;
Like trying to catch a fluttering feather,
While the spring winds oppose your grasp.
Contrary to ones’s beliefs,
A busy mind does wonder;
During you mind’s greatest brainstorm,
Sweet memories of your lost Love thunder.
A broken heart has no cure nor remedy,
And they say time heals all wounds;
That the day after day sorrow
Is inevitable for a heart battered and bruised.
But by “Heal” they mean forget,
How do I ignore a Love so real?
To lose a Love that filled my heart,
To be living a life unfulfilled…
