A Sea Of Emotions
Just expressing my thoughts and feelings, nothing else. I am not a poet by any stretch of the imagination, I’m only testing the waters. However, if anyone identifies with this then that’s great. It let’s me know I’m not going through Life’s lessons alone.

Empty, Routine, Loveless; that’s what we have become
And You seem unphased, but this hurts me.
The pain haunts me, tortures me, it even gloats in triumph.
Saying “I told You so, I told You so, You won’t deny me!”.
Restless, Broken, Exhausted; Is my current state of being
I don’t sleep, I never nap, but my foolish heart keeps me dreaming.
Believing that things would get better, that we would eventually grow together.
But that’s the Game Of Love, and she’s devilishly clever.
Disengaged, Nonchalant, Content; you carry on as if everything is okay.
You act as if our love is the same, as if things have always been this way.
Hugs aren’t as long, Kisses aren’t nearly as sweet.
Warm nights with You in my arms now replaced with cold sheets.
Innocent, Pure, Sinless; I claim to be neither in this dilemma.
I admit I’ve seeked for others with a touch as tender,
Legs long as highways, dangerous curves, and a body as nimble.
But understand you were driving me crazy, and those nights got lonely in December.
Dispose, Free, Rid urself of this lie,
This charade that we play to get by.
Because I’m removing this mask I wear,
And fake smiles to downplay that the end isn’t near.
